Working with clients to learn about their goals and values and how to incorporate those into a financial legacy plan is my passion. Partnering with other business professionals who serve the same clients brings me great satisfaction. Collaborating closely with Estate Planning Attorneys to draft client documents, working alongside Investment Advisors to provide administrative trustee services, and teaming up with Bankers and Insurance Brokers to offer trust solutions are integral parts of my role.

Problem-solving and transforming ideas from good to great is what drives me. Learning about people's goals, values, and belief systems and crafting personalized financial solutions is incredibly fulfilling. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with many clients, achieving terrific financial outcomes that support their personal goals for family, loved ones, and charities. However, witnessing situations that were not optimized for the best benefit has also been part of my journey.

A personal experience deeply shaped my commitment to financial planning. When my older brother passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33, his lack of financial planning left his wife and daughter with significant challenges. At that time, I was new to the industry and felt insecure about offering help, fearing to "pry" into his financial affairs. In hindsight, these were just excuses. My goal now is to be the voice that helps people be intentional in their financial plans, optimizing outcomes tailored to their personal situations. This website and our newsletters are ways I aim to reach a broader audience and help more people create GREAT outcomes for themselves and their families.

Growing up in Richfield, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis, provided me with cherished memories. My father worked as a mechanic for Northwest Airlines, and my mother was an elementary school teacher who stayed home with us during our early years. As one of three children, with two brothers—one three years older and one three years younger—some of my favorite memories involve spending time at our cabin in Northern Minnesota with family and cousins.

Married to my wife, Shareen, for 25 years, we have two boys, currently ages 10 and 13. The boys are active in many extracurricular activities. The 13-year-old plays Pokémon cards, baseball, and football, and loves tubing and knee boarding at the cabin. The 10-year-old plays baseball, football, and basketball, enjoys tubing, and is our family's youngest water skier. Shareen and I love traveling and watching the kids in their activities, finding joy in seeing them grow through both successes and failures in their passions.

Spending time at our cabin and being on the water are among my favorite pastimes. Driving the kids and their friends in our boat for hours of tubing, skiing, and surfing is a joy. A lifelong water skier, I’ve recently started learning to wake surf. Fishing, hunting, and spending time with great groups of friends also bring me immense pleasure.
