Bryan Simmons, AIFA®, GFS

Bryan Simmons joined Cornerstone as a Retirement Services Executive, bringing more than 25 years of experience helping organizations design, manage, and enhance retirement plan programs. He specializes in retirement plan consulting, fiduciary governance, investment oversight, plan administration, and strategic solutions that support plan sponsors and their employees.

Bryan has held senior leadership roles with leading financial services organizations, including Ascensus/Newport Trust Company and Associated Financial Group. In these roles, he advised corporate executives and retirement plan committees on plan design, fiduciary responsibilities, compliance, investment governance, and operational best practices. He has also managed complex retirement platforms, overseen fiduciary processes for large institutional retirement plans, and guided clients through evolving regulatory and market environments.

Bryan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® and Global Financial Steward designations. He is passionate about helping organizations improve retirement outcomes through thoughtful plan design, effective governance, and disciplined fiduciary practices.

Outside of work, Bryan is an avid year-round cyclist, riding mountain, gravel, road, and fat tire bikes. He also enjoys bouldering at his local climbing gym and cross-country skiing. Bryan lives in Southwest Minneapolis with his wife, Colleen, and their dog, Bailey. Now empty nesters, Bryan and Colleen enjoy traveling and visiting their triplet daughters, who live in San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C.
