Chad M. Halbur, CFA, CTFA
President
Chad M. Halbur is President and a shareholder of Cornerstone Private Asset Trust Company, LLC. He is responsible for establishing procedures and the development of day to day operations. Chad is our Senior Investment Manager and oversees all accounts and works with clients on strategies to help meet their financial goals and is involved in the implementation and daily management of those strategies.
He is a CFA® charterholder, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. He is also a member of the Twin Cities Society of Security Analysts, Minnesota Financial Planning Association and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
He was born and raised in the Twin Cities and completed his undergraduate work at St. Cloud State University. After obtaining a B.S. in finance and a minor in economics, he worked for a large insurance company for several years before joining Boeckermann, Grafstrom & Mayer Wealth Management, LLC in 1999. As Assistant Investment Advisor, Chad handled investment research, due diligence, portfolio design and implementation of all investment strategies.
Chad is married with two children. Chad enjoys hunting, fishing and vacationing at his family’s cabin.
Daniel A. Boeckermann
Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, Registered Investment Adviser, and Chairman of the Board
Dan is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist and Registered Investment Adviser.
He was born and raised in Melrose, Minnesota and graduated from Melrose High School in 1967. He attended Moorhead State University in Moorhead Minnesota where he graduated with a B.A. in Accounting in 1971. He received his CPA license in 1972 from the State of Minnesota. He became a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) in 1987. He passed his SEC Series 65 exam in 1996 and became a Registered Investment Advisor. He was one of the first twenty-five CPAs in the nation to receive the PFS designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and received the third highest score in the nation on the 1987 PFS Examination.
Dan has extensive experience serving as an individual trustee for many types of trusts and as a personal representative for estates.
Dan worked for a local CPA firm in Moorhead, Minnesota from 1970 to 1972 when he and three other individuals co-founded Boeckermann, Fiebiger, and Swanson & West in Moorhead, Minnesota in October 1972. In 1980 he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to start a new office for the firm. In 1982 he co-founded the firm of Boeckermann Grafstrom & Mayer, LLC, Certified Public Accountants. In 1996, he co-founded BGM Wealth Partners, LLC to provide investment advisory services to clients. In 2002, Cornerstone Private Asset Trust Company, LLC was started to provide corporate trust services to clients.
Dan served on the Riverside Bank Board of Directors from January 1995 to August 1999 when the bank was sold. During that time he was Chairman of the Audit Committee and the Funds Management Committees. He also served on the Executive Loan Committee. From September 1999 to September 2000, he was a member of the Associated Bank of Minnesota Board of Directors, Executive Loan Committee, Funds Management Committee and Audit Committee.
In November 2001, Dan co-founded Venture Bank where he serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Loan Committee. He is also Chairman of the Board.
Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Personal Financial Planning Division and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Management Advisory Services Division. Dan is licensed as a CPA in Minnesota, North Dakota and New York.

Dane Boeckermann
Certified Public Accountant
Dane J. Boeckermann is a Principal and Chief Executive Officer of BGM. With more than 21 years of public accounting experience, Dane’s expertise is in working with family-owned, closely-held businesses and venture capital-owned companies. He has significant experience in internal and external auditing, reviews, compilations, tax compliance, internal audit planning, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, process consulting, forensic accounting, due diligence for merger and acquisition projects, as well as, other management advisory services.
Dane serves closely-held businesses across a broad range of industries, including manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, printing companies, machine shops, retailers, technology and software companies, real estate investors, graphic designers, and not-for-profit organizations.

Stacey Hennen
Attorney at Law, Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Stacey Hennen is an attorney practicing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with over 35 years experience working in the legal profession. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she majored in English and Religion, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Stacey was born and raised in Madison, South Dakota and began her career working for Samp Law Office while completing her education. She has been an Associate Attorney at Samp Law Office since 1999, where she specializes in estate planning with a focus on helping farm families, small businesses and serving long-standing clients with their legal needs. Stacey is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, a supporter of Augustana University and a member of their group, Women Who Will/ Women in Philanthropy.
Stacey is married with four children and enjoys golfing, reading, attending sporting events, traveling with family and spending time with their grandchildren.
Gwen Stanley
Executive Director of Finance at Choice Financial (Retired)
Gwen Stanley is a former banker with over four decades of experience in banking operations and compliance requirements. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on finance from the University of Minnesota School of Management.
She began her career at Riverside Bank, where she served from 1980 until its sale in 1999. During her tenure, she held various positions, including Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Human Resources Officer, and Bank Security Officer. She culminated her career at Riverside Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In 2001, Gwen co-founded Venture Bank with two other partners, taking on the role of Executive Vice President. In this capacity, she led the bank’s finance, operations, management, investments, human resources, and compliance functions. She also served as a member of the Venture Bank Board of Directors until the bank’s sale in 2018, after which she retired in 2019.
Beyond her banking career, Gwen has made substantial contributions to the non-profit sector, notably through her board service at Cedar Riverside People’s Center, where she held positions such as Treasurer and Board Chair. Additionally, she has served as a judge for both the Minnesota Cup and DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) competitions.
