Personal Trust Services

  • Trustee

The role of the trustee is to oversee and administer the assets of the trust as directed in the governing trust document.  This involves many tasks including:

  • Maintain detailed records on all trust activity including the accounting for income and principal transactions

  • Provide regular reporting to the trust interested parties

  • Review the trust assets to ensure they  are invested in assets that meet the needs and objectives of the trust

  • Communicate with the beneficiaries , make income payments to beneficiaries, make decisions on discretionary distributions , make payments directly to vendors on behalf of beneficiaries

  • Annual review of trust administration and investment activities

  • Provide tax reporting and ensure tax returns are filed each year
  • Asset Management

We feel the investment management piece is critical in providing the parties of a trust with the most effective outcome.   Because of this we create a custom portfolio to meet the needs, goals and objectives of the trust, trust beneficiaries and the grantor.  Our approach is to determine an investment strategy that meets the needs but does not take on excessive risk in doing so.  We use third party investment vehicles, not our own in house pooled investment vehicles.   In doing so we feel we can use a best of breed approach in the selection of the investments in the portfolio.

Corporate Trustee Services

  • Trustee

For initial services including examination of the trust Indenture and all supporting documents, acceptance of the trust, execution and delivery of the Indenture, authentication and delivery of Debentures and copies to note holders. 

For ongoing trustee services, including normal administration of the accounts, and reply to note holder phone calls, letters, or emails.  Retain all certificates in safekeeping on behalf of the investors.

  • Registrar

Assist in the registration and authentication of certificates.  Also re-registration, due to name change, death, or any other transfer feature allowed in the investment structure. 

  • Paying Agent

Assist the issuer in the scheduled payment of interest, or return of principal as outlined in the investment guidelines, and provide year-end tax reporting for investors.
